Frost on the Vine "Clover Hill bubbly has come a long way (since its first vintage in 1991). This is a world away quality-wise from its once humble beginnings. This has a bit of wow about it. It smells like fistfuls of dry, fresh, dew-damp straw and sets off a rocket of lemony flavour when you take a sip. It tastes of bread, apples, aldehyde, and nuts too, but that jet of citrus has a weight and power to it that is far beyond the norm. I was simultaneously bowled over, surprised and impressed.
